VividEYE: Mibelle's latest weapon against dark circles and undereye bags

Mibelle’s latest innovation promises to alleviate aesthetic concerns in the eye contour! Named VividEYE [1], it is derived from on organic apple mint leaves.

Dark circles and undereye bags affect both physical appearance and emotional wellbeing, often signalling fatigue or premature aging. Dark circles are primarily caused by blood accumulation due to increased vascular permeability, and melanin deposition, which intensifies with age as skin thins and discolorations are more visible. Undereye bags result from weakening of the delicate tissue in the eye area and a dysfunctional lymphatic system causing fluid accumulation, leading to a puffy appearance,” explains the Swiss company.

Plant-based solution

To address these undereye concerns, Mibelle Biochemistry has developed a holistic solution based on apple mint (Mentha suaveolens), or woolly mint, a special member of the genus Mentha characterized by its hairy leaves and stems.

Unlike many other types of mint, apple mint contains no menthol. Instead, its flavour is characterized by a unique, mild taste of green apples. Apple mint plays an important role in traditional Mediterranean medicine as it offers a wide range of therapeutic benefits.

In vitro and in vivo tests

According to Mibelle Biochemistry, in vitro tests have shown that VividEYE strengthens the vascular network by reducing blood vessel leakage and increasing lymphatic vessel formation for improved fluid drainage. In addition, VividEYE works effectively on skin cells to not only reduce melanin production, but also strengthen the skin barrier and prevent skin thinning. Eventually, data also shown the new active can inhibit melanin formation.

In clinical studies, VividEYE reduced eye bag volume as well as the appearance of dark eye circles. It was also shown to increase luminance in the undereye area.

Mibelle’s VividEYE is a water-soluble powder, free from alcohol and preservatives. It is COSMOS approved and NATRUE certified.
