Sensient Technologies Corporation, a global provider of colors and personal care applications, has acquired Biolie, a French raw material manufacturer specializing in white biotechnology for the development of natural cosmetic ingredients. The acquisition was completed on February 14, 2025.
Biolie has developed a clean solvent-free enzymatic extraction technology for natural ingredients.
Sensient anticipates that combining its technological capabilities with Biolie’s will create unparalleled expertise in color manufacturing within the global cosmetics market.

The acquisition also expands Sensient’s manufacturing and innovation footprint in France, where are located the Sensient Beauty headquarters and principal production facility.
