The Players, which is often referred to as golf’s unofficial fifth major, uses a three-hole aggregate format like the PGA Championship.
Rory McIlroy and J.J. Spaun will today face off for a three-hole aggregate playoff on holes 16, 17 and 18 at 9 am ET.
If they’re still tied after the three-hole stretch, the players will start sudden-death play on No. 17 and then No. 18, if necessary.
