Oregon beats Ohio State, Texas, LSU for 5-star wideout Dakorien Moore

The No. 1 wide receiver in the Class of 2025 is heading to the Pacific Northwest. Dakorien Moore, who plays at Duncanville (Texas) High School, committed to Oregon on Thursday night over Texas, Ohio State and LSU.

Moore, ranked No. 3 overall in the 247Sports Composite, is the fifth top-100 player and third five-star prospect in Oregon’s 2025 class. The Ducks, who now have 15 commitments, jumped from seventh to fifth in the national rankings.

Moore committed to LSU last August but reopened his recruitment in May and took official visits to all four of his finalists in the past five weeks.

What does this mean for Oregon?

The Ducks already had a top-10 class, and Moore’s commitment adds yet another elite talent to the group. Oregon holds a commitment from five-star Tampa Bay (Fla.) Tech receiver Dallas Wilson, so Moore is the second five-star wideout to pick the Ducks in the 2025 cycle. There are also two four-star wide receivers in Oregon’s class — Cooper Perry from Arizona and Isaiah Mozee from Missouri. The Ducks have been on a recruiting tear, landing five-star corner Dorian Brew to cap off a late-June surge.

There are sky-high expectations for Oregon this fall with quarterback Dillon Gabriel playing his final collegiate season. Dan Lanning is putting the Ducks’ next quarterback (likely Dante Moore) in a good position to succeed in 2025 with all of the talent in this recruiting class.
