Inter and Napoli’s Serie A title deciders will start at the same time on Friday, the league has announced.
The Italian league’s top two sides both have a chance to win the title entering the final matchday of the season.
Leaders Napoli host 14th-place Cagliari, while Inter, one point further back, are away at Como, who are 10th.
Serie A have confirmed that both games will be played at 20:45 local time (19:45 BST), while the other remaining eight games of the season will take place across Saturday and Sunday.
Napoli enter the week having drawn their last two games, while Inter were held to a 2-2 draw by Lazio on Sunday after a stoppage-time penalty from Pedro. That draw ensured Antonio Conte’s side remained in pole position to win the title.
If Napoli are to win the title, it will be Conte’s fifth Serie A triumph as a head coach with a third team, having previously lifted the trophy while in charge of Juventus and Inter.
The 55-year-old, who also won the Premier League title at Chelsea, will be suspended for Napoli’s game against Cagliari due to the red card he was shown during Sunday’s draw at Parma.
There is also drama to be settled at the bottom of the Serie A table. Monza’s relegation to Serie B was confirmed earlier this month, but Venezia, Empoli, Lecce, Parma, and Verona could all mathematically join them in the final two relegation spots.
In addition to trying to secure the Serie A title, Inter have a Champions League final against Paris Saint-Germain on May 31 to prepare for.
