LVMH and Integrated Biosciences aim to accelerate R&D on skincare bioactives


LVMH Recherche and California-based biotech company Integrated Biosciences have inked a multi-year strategic research partnership to discover novel chemical entities that target aging at the molecular level.

The LVMH beauty R&D division aims to leverage Integrated Biosciences’ synthetic biology and artificial intelligence (AI)-based platform to create innovative skin youth and beauty products.

Founded by former researchers from MIT, Harvard and the University of California, Santa Barbara, Integrated Biosciences relies on its proprietary technology to virtually screen hundreds of thousands of molecules likely to play a role in modulating age-related biological phenotypes.

By combining our skin research expertise with their AI and aging research, we are taking a decisive step in understanding and molecularly addressing age-related cellular pathways,” added Bavouzet.

Under the terms of the agreement, Integrated Biosciences is eligible to receive payments based on the achievement of certain near-term discovery, development, and commercial milestones. Financial terms of the collaboration were not disclosed.
