BOSTON — Linus Ullmark was the first Boston Bruins goalie onto the TD Garden ice for warmups. It indicates he will take his regular turn in the goalie rotation in Game 2 tonight against the Toronto Maple Leafs.

“It’s been our M.O. all year,” Kevin Shattenkirk said before Game 2 of rotating the goalies. “It’s been the strength of our team. It doesn’t bother those guys. They don’t show any sort of jealousy, anything like that. It allows us to really be OK with it and knowing that either guy who goes in is going to be great. It might be different if one guy was shaky and the other guy was a little more solid. But they’re fantastic goalies. No matter what, either guy who goes in, we’re pretty confident.”

Ullmark backed up Jeremy Swayman in Game 1. Swayman stopped 35 of 36 shots in the Bruins’ 5-1 win. Swayman stayed perfect against the Leafs. He was 3-0-0 with a .959 save percentage against the Leafs during the regular season. However, each of those wins came after Ullmark started the previous game.

Ullmark started the first six of the Bruins’ seven first-round games against the Florida Panthers last year. He allowed six goals in Game 6 before giving way to Swayman in Game 7. Ullmark had an .896 save percentage.
