Leading football agent arrested on suspicion of rape, causing grievous bodily harm


A leading football agent has been arrested on suspicion of rape and causing grievous bodily harm.

The man was arrested on March 29 after his flight landed at London’s Heathrow Airport. In his career, he has represented several high-profile players.

The arrest relates to alleged incidents which took place eight years ago in Knightsbridge, London, after a report was made to police in March last year.

A statement from the Metropolitan Police to The Athletic read: “On Saturday, 29 March, at approximately 10:52hrs, a man was arrested when his flight landed at Heathrow Airport.

“He was arrested on suspicion of rape and causing grievous bodily harm.

“He has been released on bail. Enquiries into the circumstances continue.”
