L.A. Kings fan survey: Should Blake return? Byfield's future? Next captain? How will 2024-25 end?

The last year has been an eventful one for the Los Angeles Kings. Let’s do a summarized review.

Huge trades (Pierre-Luc Dubois, twice). No trades (Whisper-quiet deadline, Arthur Kaliyev still in L.A.). Key players lost (Matt Roy). Key players kept (Quinton Byfield). Others leaving (Viktor Arvidsson, Cam Talbot, Carl Grundstrom). New ones coming (Darcy Kuemper, Joel Edmundson, Warren Foegele).

Some things have changed, such as the jerseys and a new scoreboard at Crypto.com Arena, while others remain the same, such as the top decision makers, the head coach and the team’s place in the NHL hierarchy.

These might be the dormant days of August when it comes to news, but the seven-team Rookie Faceoff in El Segundo will be here before you know it. Training camp will follow and the seven weeks until the Oct. 10 season opener in Buffalo will fly by. It’s a good time to let you have a bigger say on some of the notable topics that have hovered around the franchise.

Call it a temperature check. We’ll leave this survey up for a few days and then do a story on the results. I’m genuinely interested in your thoughts. Hopefully I’ve asked some of the correct questions and provided good options for answering. Let’s get a ton of responses.
