Vice President Harris and former President Trump will hold dueling events in Texas on Friday with just 11 days to go until Election Day.
Harris will be in Houston, where she is holding an event focused on the impact of abortion bans across the country following the Supreme Court ruling that overturned Roe v. Wade.
The Harris campaign has repeatedly hammered Trump on the issue of abortion, highlighting his comments in which he has taken credit for ending Roe and called the patchwork of state restrictions on abortion a “beautiful thing to watch.”
Harris will be joined by women who had their health put in jeopardy because of abortion bans, a Texas OB/GYN who has spoken about the risks of the state’s abortion laws, and the mother of Amber Thurman, a Georgia woman who died of an infection after a rare complication from taking medication abortion.
She will also appear alongside Rep. Collin Allred (D-Texas), who is locked in a close race with Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas).
Harris will also sit for an interview with Brené Brown, a podcast host whose program is popular with women in particular. And she will be joined at a rally by superstar Beyoncé, a Houston native.
Trump will hold a rally on Friday afternoon in Austin, where he is expected to hammer Harris over immigration and the economy. While in the city, he will sit down to record a podcast with Joe Rogan.
Rogan is one of the most popular and controversial media personalities in the country, with each of his episodes earning millions of downloads. His show often features conversations with top newsmakers.
The former president will then head to Michigan, where he will hold a rally in Traverse City as he seeks to build support in one of the seven battleground states likely to decide the presidency.
