Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones called Sunday’ 47-9 loss to the Detroit Lions “very concerning.” That doesn’t mean he’s ready to discuss major changes, though.
Jones was asked in a postgame news conference specifically if coaching or personnel changes were something he’s considering. He responded, “I’m not considering that.” When asked earlier about personnel and coaching changes, Jones said, “I’m not ready to talk about changes right now.”
Jones has traditionally not fired coaches during the season with the only instance being Wade Phillips’ dismissal in 2010. That came after a 1-7 start and a 45-7 loss to the Green Bay Packers.

The Lions totaled a season-best 492 yards of offense and forced five turnovers as they cruised to the blowout win against the Cowboys. The final score marked Dallas’ second blowout loss of the season and dropped the Cowboys to 0-3 at home.
Dallas has struggled to run the ball and stop the run this season. With one game remaining in Week 6, the Cowboys rank 25th in the NFL allowing 143.2 rushing yards per game and their 77.2 rushing yards per game rank last in the NFL.
On Sunday, they allowed 184 rushing yards while picking up just 53 while averaging 3.1 yards per carry.
