Cleveland Cavaliers president of basketball operations Koby Altman was arrested and charged with operating a vehicle impaired and a marked lanes violation at 8:53 p.m. ET Friday in Cleveland, Ohio State Highway Patrol confirmed Saturday. Fox 8 first reported the news.
Troopers initiated the traffic stop on state Route 2 and observed indicators of impairment, highway patrol said. Altman — who turned 41 on Saturday — was offered a breath test, which he refused. Highway patrol noted Altman was “respective and cooperative with troopers” throughout the traffic stop.
The Athletic has reached out to the team for comment.
Altman joined the Cleveland front office in 2012 and was named general manager in 2017, winning a championship with the club in 2016.
