Bormioli Luigi: a deep black bottle for Armani's Acqua di Giò Elixir

Armani has entrusted Bormioli Luigi with the mission of creating the bottle (50 ml) of its new men’s fragrance with a décor evoking the unique depth of obsidian. This new collaboration with the brand meant confronting a number of technical and industrial challenges.

This fragrance created by Alberto Morillas is clearly the most concentrated in the collection, intended to embody the modern man and extreme sophistication.

Bormioli Luigi designed the refined shape of the glass bottle, characterized by a square base that transitions into gently rounded contours. To achieve this distinctive form, the Italian glassmaker had to precisely calibrate the material to strike the ideal balance between the solid base and the bottle’s lightweight upper structure. “A remarkable challenge in precision and technical craftsmanship,” the company noted.

Inside lacquer in deep black

The intense black shade is achieved using the Inside internal lacquer, Bormioli Luigi’s signature decoration technique. It is reminiscent of obsidian that evokes hidden luxury.

The choice of the Inside technique and the black shade were conditional on a multitude of compatibility tests between the lacquer and the juice, which is highly concentrated. The screen-printed décor in black and silver reflects the light.
