AUSTIN, Texas — Arch Manning had a strong start to the Texas spring game Saturday, throwing a 75-yard touchdown pass on his first play of the game. DeAndre Moore Jr. hauled in the pass at the 31 and went the distance for the score. Midway through the second quarter, Manning is 5-for-5 passing with two TDs — adding a 30-yarder to running back Jaydon Blue.

Manning appeared in two games as a freshman in 2023, making his debut in a victory over Texas Tech. He completed 2-of-5 passes for 30 yards in that game and had three carries for 7 yards. He played the final plays of the Big 12 Championship Game victory over Oklahoma State.
