Angel City FC has completed the signing of defender Alanna Kennedy from Manchester City.
Kennedy, who turned 30 on Tuesday, has joined the NWSL side on a one-year contract for 2025 with the option of an additional 12 months.
The Australian defender joined City from Tottenham Hotspur in 2021 and made 64 appearances for the club.
“I am really excited to join Angel City and return to the NWSL, ” said Kennedy, who has 131 caps for Australia. “I was inspired by the club’s mission and purpose and I am looking forward to arriving in LA and meeting all my teammates. Equally, I am excited to get to work and contribute to the team’s success on the field.”
“Manchester has been my home for the past three and a half years and I am leaving with a lot of amazing memories,” Kennedy wrote said on Instagram earlier on Tuesday.
