Amad and Matthijs de Ligt have returned to Manchester United training ahead of Thursday’s Europa League semi-final first leg against Athletic Club.
Amad, 22, sustained an ankle ligament injury in February which the club feared could end his season while 25-year-old De Ligt has been out of action since an ankle injury suffered during the 1-0 defeat to Nottingham Forest on April 1.
However, the pair have returned to training ahead of their trip to Bilbao on Thursday.
Amad’s potential return comes at a good time following the news of defender Diogo Dalot’s injury. The Athletic reported last week that the Portugal international may not play again this season after suffering a calf injury.

United also confirmed that Toby Collyer was seen doing individual training with a coach today, before the main 28-man group emerged. The midfielder has missed his side’s last six games due to a leg injury.
Athletic Club are dealing with their own injury issues, with Oihan Sancet a doubt for Thursday’s game after he was substituted during his side’s 1-0 La Liga victory over Las Palmas on April 23.
The 25-year-old attacking midfielder is his side’s top scorer this season with 17 goals in addition to providing three assists.
