Saturday night update: We’re looking at a continuation of our fair-weather pattern through Sunday. That high-pressure system is still hanging around, keeping things dry and pleasant. However, heads up for Sunday morning—we’re expecting widespread lows in the 30s, so you might want to grab that extra blanket!
A Frost Advisory is in effect for Lincoln, McDuffie, Columbia, Richmond, Burke, Jenkins, and Screven counties in GA and all of our SC counties from 4 a.m. till 8 a.m. Sunday. Temperatures could drop as low as 33 degrees, potentially harming vegetation. Don’t forget to bring pets inside and cover or bring sensitive plants indoors.
Don’t worry, though—the cold won’t stick around for long. Things warm up nicely with highs in the upper 60s on Sunday and lower 70s on Monday. The sunny and mild weather will make for a perfect day to get outside and enjoy the peak fall foliage!
A weak cold front will try to crash our party on Tuesday, but it won’t make much of a splash with only a few light showers and mostly cloudy skies. Despite the front, temperatures will climb above average to the lower 70s.
It looks like we might have some fowl weather for your Thanksgiving feast this year. We’re keeping an eye on a stronger cold front that’s set to move through on Thursday. This one could bring more widespread showers and even a few thunderstorms to the area. The winds will also be gusty, so keep an eye on the forecast if you have holiday travel plans.
Once that Thanksgiving system moves through, get ready for a sharp cool-down. We’re talking highs dropping to the mid-50s Friday with 40s arriving the following week. Overnight lows will take an even bigger tumble, potentially dipping into the upper 20s.
