Hoffman Estates, Illinois-based Leopardo Construction has announced a flurry of executive moves, including the appointment of a new CFO, according to an Oct. 3 news release.
Leopardo tapped Todd Welch as its new financial head, according to the release. Welch has been with Leopardo since 2004, most recently as vice president of finance, according to his LinkedIn profile. In his new role, Welch will oversee all financial aspects of the company.
Other promotions include:
- Steve Smith as executive vice president, markets.
- Leigh McMillen as executive vice president, operations.
- Jessica Sherwood as senior vice president, growth.
- Ralph Barszcz as senior vice president, field operations.
- Ryan Haase as vice president, aviation.
The announcement coincides with Leopardo’s long-term strategic and succession plans designed to support continuous growth and foster employee development, according to the release.
“These leaders have demonstrated remarkable commitment to Leopardo and possess deep expertise in their respective fields,” said Giancarlo Pacini, Leopardo Construction’s president, in the release. “They are uniquely positioned to take on new responsibilities while continuing to deliver exceptional results for our clients and project partners.”
Leopardo has been in business since 1977, and has two offices in Illinois and one in Ohio. It also opened a new office in Florida in October 2023.
The firm has performed work across most of the continental U.S., according to the company’s website, and some of its market areas include aviation, healthcare, education, industrial and retail work. In 2023, Leopardo generated $427 million in revenue, putting it in the 287th spot on Engineering News-Record’s 2024 list of the top 400 commercial contractors in the country by revenue.
