Man United podcast Talk of the Devils returns for the new season

A new Premier League season means the return of Talk of the Devils.

The Athletic’s all-conquering dedicated Manchester United podcast is back twice a week this season to leave no stone unturned at Old Trafford.

Ian Irving, Laurie Whitwell, Carl Anka and Andy Mitten will bring you all the exclusive news, views, thrills and spills from covering United at home and on their European away days.

“I’m really proud of the variety we try to bring on the podcast. It’s a balance and we don’t always get it perfectly right,” says Ian.

“But one minute an episode can lurch from proper insight, information about United that you genuinely wouldn’t get anywhere else to some absolute nonsense about the breadth of Andy’s map collection, Laurie’s hair styling routine or Carl’s recovery from a hamstring strain.

“It shouldn’t be this easy to blend all that in. It just works.

“This season I’m most looking forward to more post-match pods recorded at midnight in an empty Old Trafford after United have put a smile on all our faces with a big win. You can’t beat the mood when we all crowd around the microphone in the press box to pour over every detail of the result while Andy eats all the Malteasers.”
