50 Cent, who began trending on social media following the assassination attempt on former President Trump, will not be attending the Republican National Convention (RNC) in Milwaukee, ITK has confirmed.

The “In Da Club” rapper will “be in Shreveport preparing for his Humor and Harmony upcoming festival” scheduled for next month, a representative for 50 Cent said Monday.

Talk of the 49-year-old performer potentially attending this week’s RNC was stirred up following Saturday’s shooting at a Trump rally in Pennsylvania. One attendee was killed and two people were critically wounded, while the ex-commander in chief said a bullet pierced his ear.

Following the attack, social media users began posting images of Trump set to 50 Cent’s song “Many Men.” The 2003 song includes lyrics about surviving a shooting: “Many men wish death upon me/Blood in my eye, dawg, and I can’t see/I’m tryin’ to be what I’m destined to be.”

50 Cent was reportedly shot nine times in 2000.

The entertainer, who was born Curtis Jackson, posted an altered image on X of his “Get Rich or Die Tryin'” album cover with Trump’s face superimposed on his body

“Trump gets shot and now I’m trending,” 50 Cent wrote to his nearly 13 million followers on Saturday.

The music star’s representative didn’t respond when asked if 50 Cent was supporting Trump’s 2024 White House bid.

Last month, during a visit to Capitol Hill, 50 Cent said he hadn’t yet decided who to back in the November election. In 2020, he appeared to endorse Trump over now-President Biden, but later said he “never liked” the 45th president.
